New Feature

I have added something new to the site. At the top of the page, you will see the Wit and Wisdom page. Here, I will be sharing short thoughts and quips from my hyperactive mind. This is a repository of various thoughts that I hope you will find valuable. Let me know if you like this aspect of the Moving Word.

New Purpose and Design

Hello, readers. I apologize about doing a poor job updating the site. Truth is that my lack of focus on writing has matched my recent life trajectory. There’s a story. There’s always a story.

I was leading a local writers’ group and because of health problems and lack of time, I had to drop the group and the time I was spending on writing fell behind, as well.

Since I have this site, and so much to say, I am opening it up to a more general purpose so I have a place to express myself in whatever ways I choose. Being me, certain things will always be present — humor, darkness, light, books, reading and writing will always spill from my pen. They are perpetual companions.

As a writer, columnist and editor of a religious e-zine, my articles will be represented here.

Moreover, my health problems have largely dominated my life, recently. How could I ignore them? I can’t. Here’s why.

Fibromyalgia is the unwanted guest in my life. They have unpacked their suitcase, and their clothes are in the drawers like they are staying awhile. I have threatened, cajoled and insulted but they won’t leave. So, I might as well let them speak.

It will take some time to get everything on the site situated to suit my new purposes. Life is very busy right now. Comments on the new design will be appreciated.

Thanks to all of my faithful readers and I hope you will stay with me as I change my focus here at the Moving Word. I hope all of you have a blessed day!

Hey, don’t stop reading out there!

My Pinterest Board

I have a popular Words on the Page board at Pinterest on Books, Reading and Writing. I hope to see you there!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

New Site for Christian Girls

I hope you will visit and support the new website, For Christian Girls. Their mission is that young women in the church can receive teaching, encouragement and a forum for their special needs. I am looking forward to being a small part of this work.

My first article is up and entitled, Women are Treasures. It discusses the beautiful creation of the first man and woman and how God gave her as a gift to Adam. Accordingly, she should be respected and honored and should walk with pride and humility before her Creator.

See you at the site! Leave a comment and encourage this new work.

Happy New Year!!

I hope you find lots of blessings in the New Year! May your writing dreams come true! Keep putting words on the page and build something special.

My Apologies for Inactivity

I have not been as active on this site as I hoped I would be. I am grateful for all of you who visit my website and the kindness you have expressed concerning this work.

I have dreams for the growth of the site and your suggestions are always appreciated.

My inactivity is not for lack of concern. Instead, I have been suffering from an unknown neurological problem for most of the year and that has reduced my productivity.

I am undergoing treatments, but they are heretofore unsuccessful. I am unable to walk and I am having problems with using my arms and hands, as much as I would like.

I felt you needed an explanation for why activity has slowed here at the Moving Word. However, I will keep plugging along until my health improves.

Thanks for your prayers and kindness.

Distracted

Hello, dear readers! I’ve been distracted trying to finish a manuscript for a chapter in an upcoming lectureship book, so I’ve neglected this site a bit lately. I will remedy that soon.

I am thrilled to have so many new readers. The What Do You See? and Character Study posts are rapidly gaining popularity and  I am humbled by so many comments. Thanks for your interest! I hope you all have a blessed day!

Back to writing and remember: The next Character Study post will be tomorrow. Stay tuned!
